This is a personally guided 16-week program, not a passive or pre-recorded course. Families follow a structured path that includes a detailed assessment, foundational guidance, and ongoing support. The program is catered for the small group and includes group calls, optional office hours, and continuous access to materials so families always know their next step.
At each session, ongoing education is provided along with a clear framework for what to focus on next and dedicated time for questions and clarification. Families aren’t left to figure things out on their own or piece information together between appointments.
This combination—expert guidance plus shared experience—helps reduce isolation, builds confidence, and keeps families moving forward with clarity instead of guesswork. All support is provided virtually, allowing families to participate regardless of location.
Families are not receiving a prerecorded, hands off approach with generic checklists or a one size fits all formula.
They are receiving an integrative, root cause approach backed by nearly 20 years of experience and a deep understanding of developmental physiology.
Parents learn why symptoms appear and exactly how to support their child’s whole system, not just one area of concern.
Our practice is focused on helping families navigating communication delays, social development challenges, sensory issues, sleep problems, gut dysfunction, behavior struggles, feeding issues, attention concerns, nutritional concerns, and early developmental red flags.
The focus is on understanding root causes and supporting the body’s foundational systems so development can progress in a more natural, supported way.
Not at all. Some families join with a diagnosis, others with a list of concerns, and some simply because something doesn’t feel quite right yet.
Our approach helps families understand what a child’s body is communicating and which steps best support development, regardless of labels.
Early intervention matters, because time and developmental windows cannot be regained.
It is a great fit for your child if they are struggling in areas like communication, behavior, sleep, digestion, bowel movements, eating, attention, mood, emotional regulation, or have hit plateaus in their progress.
This support was designed for families navigating these concerns. You don’t need a diagnosis to begin.
If your parent intuition tells you something feels “off,” this may be the right next step.
To make sure this support is a good fit, families are asked to share a bit more through a short form that takes just a few minutes.
This helps us better understand the child’s needs and guide families thoughtfully and intentionally.
Many of the children in this program have layered or complex presentations. The Developmental Blueprint is built to uncover root causes and make a plan that moves the needle even in challenging cases.
Families learn how to support the child’s unique system in a manageable, step-by-step way.
Yes. Early intervention creates powerful momentum, and older children also benefit from improved nervous system regulation, sleep, digestion, and nutrient balance.
These tools apply across ages and are tailored to developmental stages. It is never too early or too late to support meaningful improvements in a child’s quality of life.
Many families notice early, subtle improvements within a few weeks as foundational systems begin to balance.
Areas like sleep, bowel movements, behavior, and mood often shift first, as these tend to respond more quickly when internal stressors are reduced.
More significant developmental changes unfold over time as the body becomes increasingly regulated and supported.
Amber Brooks, Integrative Pediatric Wellness Coach brings nearly 20 years of experience working with children and families through an integrative, whole-child approach developed during her previous private practice.
She has earned a Doctorate in Chiropractic, a Master’s in Nursing, four Bachelor’s degrees, and advanced certifications, including Harvard Medical School Emeritus Wellness & Lifestyle Coach, along with over 16 years of specialized training in pediatric functional medicine.
As an Integrative Pediatric Wellness Coach, she helps parents understand how different parts of a child’s health are connected and how they impact development, behavior, and daily function. This approach looks at the full picture, including sleep, digestion, nutrition, and regulation, to identify what may be affecting progress.
Her role is to help parents:
• Connect the dots between symptoms and development
• Understand what their child’s body may be communicating
• Know what to focus on and what to do next
• Support their child consistently outside of appointments
This approach works alongside your child’s medical providers and therapists, helping you get more out of the care you are already receiving.
Healing Roots Pediatrics operates within a wellness coaching model. While medical care is not provided, Amber’s educational background in nursing allows her to collaborate with a child’s existing care team, including prescribing physicians, when appropriate.
She is happy to support communication, recommendations, and referrals as needed.
The approach focuses on bringing all pieces together with parents, which may require thoughtful coordination of care to ensure alignment and clarity across providers.
Providers who offer integrative and wellness-focused care, like Healing Roots Pediatrics, typically do not participate with insurance. This is largely due to how the current medical system is structured, including poor reimbursement rates, a one-size-fits-all model, lack of coverage for wellness-based care, and strict limitations on time spent with patients.
A primary challenge with insurance is the misalignment between wellness care and a system focused on “sickness care.” In traditional insurance-based models, visits average approximately 10 minutes, which does not allow for meaningful communication, education, or support. Visits at Healing Roots Pediatrics range from 30 to 90 minutes, and this extended time, communication, and individualized attention are central to the outcomes families experience.
Scholarships: There are scholarships available that may help offset costs related to therapy or medical care. Healing Roots Pediatrics does not manage or track these programs, but an online search may help families identify available options that fit their needs.
Labs are not required, and families are supported in choosing if and when they feel testing is appropriate.
If parents desire labs, appropriate options are suggested based on the child’s goals and areas of concern.
Lab kits are sent directly to the family’s home, and parents send them out via FedEx at their convenience.
The most common testing families are interested in includes OAT urine testing, stool testing, hair mineral analysis, blood work, allergy testing, and genetic testing, to name a few.
The labs determine their own pricing. The practice does not make a profit on laboratory testing, and families pay each lab directly, typically using their insurance when applicable.
Families without insurance or with high deductibles can take advantage of pre-negotiated self-pay rates, which reduce overall costs.
The goal is to make testing as accessible and affordable as possible, while allowing families to choose what makes sense for their situation.
The cost of this lab review is not included in the program.
The fee for this review depends on the level of preparation and time required, and all costs will be clearly shared with families prior to ordering any labs so parents know exactly what to expect.
Absolutely. The practice uses pharmaceutical-grade supplements, ensuring the highest level of raw materials, allergen-free manufacturing, FDA label compliance, and GMP certification.
The pharmaceutical-grade supplements selected are made with active ingredient raw materials only. Supplement efficacy is critical, as it directly impacts how well the recommendations work and the results families are aiming to achieve.
Ordering: The practice sets up direct manufacturer ordering so families are receiving exactly what is recommended and children can achieve the best outcomes. Given recent media exposure surrounding the supplement industry, there is valid concern about where supplements are purchased. Manufacturers have identified cases of fraudulent supplements being sold online (including fake labels and incorrect contents), particularly through third-party platforms such as eBay and Amazon. Some third-party sellers also do not follow proper storage practices or monitor expiration dates, which can impact supplement safety and effectiveness.
Shipping: Supplements are shipped directly to the family’s home.
Administering: The team understands how overwhelming supplements can feel. To support families, handouts, videos, and practical tips are provided to help ensure supplements are given successfully and consistently.
Costs: Supplements are not included in the program cost. The team helps families manage this by clearly outlining how long each bottle is expected to last, so parents can plan, order appropriately, and budget with confidence. In most cases, supplements do not need to be ordered monthly, as a single bottle often lasts longer. Ordering schedules are coordinated based on the child’s age and weight, which means timelines will vary by family. The online ordering system may also offer savings through auto-ship and free shipping options.
The Comprehensive Development Call is a 90-minute virtual call where the visit is conducted with both parents or caregivers; attendance from both caregivers is required.
During this call, the child’s history is reviewed, along with current concerns, questions, and next steps based on the child’s unique needs.
The cost of this first visit is $500.00. We do not file with insurance, allowing us to spend the time needed to create improvement, have the best compliance and results, and offer unparalleled care.
At the end of this call, the family may be offered a spot in the program if it is determined to be the next best step.
We have program options ranging from four-week self-paced programs to 16-week group programs (fewer than five families).
The process begins by asking families to answer 10 questions so we can ensure there is a good fit.
If it is determined to be a good match, families are immediately sent a video detailing the Developmental Blueprint and the approach, including a program breakdown, costs, and the level of commitment involved, so parents and partners can be fully informed of what to expect before scheduling the first appointment.
If a family decides to enroll in the Developmental Blueprint, the program is paid upfront.
Payment may be made using a credit card, Zelle, Venmo, or HSA/FSA cards. Third-party financing options are also available for families who wish to use this option.
We accept HSA and FSA cards, as well as all major credit and debit cards (a 3% credit card processing fee per transaction is added).
No credit card processing fee is added if payment is made via Zelle or Venmo.
We do not accept cash, wire transfers, or checks.
Yes. We have a trusted third-party provider for families who prefer to spread payments over time rather than paying the full amount at once.
Financing is offered as a one-time installment loan, not a credit card. We suggest parents do a simple pre-qualification if you are considering this option, so you can come prepared for your Comprehensive Development Call.
Pre-qualification takes about 10–15 seconds and:
- Does not require income verification
- Uses a soft credit check that does not impact your credit score
- Approval is based on credit score, the minimum credit score required is approximately 640.
- Pre-qualification does not create a loan or obligate you to move forward.
We are passionate about making this part of our offering at Healing Roots Pediatrics. What we've seen over decades of doing this work is that children don’t develop in isolation... and parents don’t thrive in isolation either. It is a hard road for parents, and being alone and afraid can contribute to a child’s lack of improvement. She wanted to bring this addition to her new offerings. So, we're closing this gap.
When you work with us, you receive expert guidance within a structured, intentionally small setting (5 clients or fewer) where families move alongside others navigating similar developmental challenges. This equates to multi-layered, expert direction plus the benefit of shared experience. The combination of personalized direction within a structured program, along with peer reinforcement, creates stronger long-term engagement than one-on-one visits alone.
Your Integrative Pediatric Wellness Coach will meet virtually with each family for a 90 minute first visit, the Comprehensive Development Call. After this, she personally places you in a curated Parent Development Circle that will meet monthly by video. Each visit includes direct guidance from her, real-time education tailored to the needs of the families present, and dedicated time for individual questions and clarification.
In addition to receiving a clear roadmap, families benefit from shared learning, perspective, a more solutions-focused experience, and encouragement from others applying the same guidance in real life. You’re learning from their wins and their setbacks. You’re realizing you’re not alone. When you feel supported, confident, and less isolated, you can show up differently at home. All of these factors equate to improvement in your child.
No, every visit is live (virtual) and personally guided, not pre-recorded. Families will also receive various videos, resources, and helpful tips throughout the program.
The coach is with families every step of the way. Families receive structured lessons, group coaching calls, optional office hours, and ongoing support through the program community.
Families are never left wondering what to do next. Support includes helping interpret changes, adjust plans, and provide continued guidance throughout the process.
The program is tailored to the small group at each visit.
During monthly virtual video coaching calls, ongoing education is provided along with a clear framework for what to focus on next and dedicated time for questions and clarification.
Families are not left to figure things out on their own or piece information together between appointments.
Program participation can be anonymous. Nothing in our program requires you to be on camera publicly or use your full name.
Some families choose first names only or initials, and some keep their participation entirely private. Your comfort level always comes first.
The goal is support and clarity — not exposure.
The virtual office hours are optional and offer a more open format where parents can ask direct questions, gain clarity, and feel supported by a community of families on similar journeys.
It’s okay, the team understands that things come up. Notes are provided after each monthly session.
Families can move through the content at their own pace. Many parents review the session notes and revisit checklists as their child progresses.
Absolutely. In fact, families often make faster progress when more than one caregiver understands the plan.
For this reason, both parents or primary caregivers are required to be present for the first virtual video appointment, as pertinent information and care decisions will be discussed.
All caregivers are welcome to join calls, review materials, and engage in the community throughout the program.
Yes. Families have options for continuing guidance if they want ongoing coaching, monitoring, or deeper work.
Many families choose to continue because progress builds over time, and having a trusted guide makes the journey feel more supported and manageable.
This program is designed for parents who are committed, open to coaching, ready to implement lifestyle changes, and financially able to commit to the program.
Most families spend about 60 to 90 minutes per week reviewing materials and implementing recommendations.
The steps are intentionally designed to fit into real family life, and clear, step-by-step guidance is provided to help families move through the process without feeling overwhelmed.
This program is designed to complement the care families are already receiving.
Many families find their child progresses faster in therapy once internal contributors such as sleep, gut health, nutrient balance, and sensory regulation are addressed.
This work supports each child’s existing care team, not in place of them, to support more integrated and effective progress.
That’s completely okay. Many parents feel unsure at first. If there are questions that aren’t answered here, families can email the office at [email protected] and receive a response directly from the team.
